## What is Stokkd?

Stokkd is a modern, web-based, advanced stocktaking/inventory count solution that helps you:

- Count inventory quickly and accurately
- Audit your count results
- Generate detailed variance reports
- Integrate with your inventory system

## Who is it for?

Stokkd is suitable for any size business. That said, it has been optimised for, and supports:

- Multiple sites/locations
- Multiple users
- High-volume inventory environments
- Barcodes and barcode readers

Please read all the articles in "Key Concepts" **before** starting the Sign Up and Onboarding process. The app has features and concepts that will most likely be unfamiliar, and require understanding to get the most out of this service.

## Where did it come from?

Our founder began business life in the retail industry. His business had multiple locations, in a high-volume, inventory-driven sector. Stokkd was born out of a frustration of using standard stocktaking solutions, all with serious flaws that allowed count data to be easily lost, or mistakes made. The app has been developed, tested and refined over more than 12 years in that live environment. Each feature has been developed to solve a specific problem affecting data security, accuracy and speed.

## What hardware can I use?

As the app is web-based, any device with a modern web browser should work, including PDE handheld devices. Android devices with the Google Chrome browser have the best implementation of the web technologies involved. iOS devices with Safari are also officially supported. Other major browsers should also work fine, but are not officially supported.

We **strongly recommend** using the Trial subscription to test your setup, including hardware.

The app has 3 versions:

- Desktop
- Mobile
- Tablet

Each has different levels of functionality available, with the desktop (ie. PC, Mac, laptop) version being fully-featured. Some features require wide screens, therefore these features have been disabled on smaller devices. For example, mobile devices have Count and Review functionality **only**.
